- To help give you an idea, my Mohawk (243) has serial number 6744072. My Dad bought it new in December 1974 for my first deer rifle, which became my Christmas present that year. I killed my first deer with it almost 1 year later in my first year of hunting in Elk County, PA (Loleta). Cool little rifles.
- The closest I can find is that Remington produced around 97,000 Mohawk 600 rifles. But that is a combination of all the available chamberings. It's been said that there was a recall on them if the trigger isn't stamped with a V and the serial number doesn't start with A.
